Last weekend, the renowned British DJ and producer Daley Padley, well-known as Hot Since 82, was sadly the protagonist of a brutal gangster attack in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
The DJ carefully reported the fact with a heartbreaking video on his Instagram account expressing all his discomfort and fear.
Padley left the club at 5 a.m. and was in the car on the way to the airport when he realized the vehicle was followed by a gang of jackers wearing AK-47s. What saved the DJ and his team’s life were the heroic maneuvers of the driver, who drove in reverse at over 60 miles per hours on the busy motorway, zigzagging the other cars to run away from the gangsters that assaulted the car at the stop sign with balaclavas on and AK-47s in their hands.
“It was like a scene from Fast & Furious”, said sarcastically the British producer, grateful to be alive and at home safe.
Hot Since 82, who was next to perform at Warung Festival in Curtiba and Time Warp Festival in São Paulo, canceled the shows and flew back to the UK to join his wife and children.
Despite the terrific rendezvous, the Artist concluded the video expressing his affection toward Brazil and the Brazilian people, showing closeness to the context they have to deal with every day.
